Yes, We Have a Shop

We got the question a lot when we first started doing pop-up shops and selling our artisan chocolates online — Do you have a shop? For a few years now, the answer has been ‘Not yet’. It was never ‘No’ because I think we always thought it would be a great move for us, a natural next step in building our artisan chocolate company. But the spaces we saw were too big, the locations not ideal, the rents too high. But patience paid off. And now, effective September 18th, when someone asks, we can say — Yes, we have a shop!

Needless to say, we are excited. And maybe a little nervous? We have no idea what to expect. But that’s part of the fun, the adventure of it all. What fun would it be if we knew exactly what was coming? Will we have too much toffee, or not enough? Will the POS be finicky the day we open? What if no one shows up? We’ll only know the answers when we do it, so we’re doing it.

We’ve had a ton of fun talking shelving and paint colors and how to keep the shop cool enough for chocolate. We are hard at work, scaling up, and making more chocolate and tying more bows than we ever have before. We’ve tried to save money where we could so we could spend on the things that matter most to us. We’ve sought advice and help from our friends and family, and all the input is much appreciated. In a few short weeks, we look forward to opening our door to a space that we think will be very inviting and very ‘us’.
